Esther's Home

Referrals

Esther’s Home will receive referrals from both DCYF, private individuals, local community agencies, local law enforcement, medical networks, and national anti-trafficking networks. To make a referral, individuals or community partners can call the Mirror Ministries office at 509-783-5730 or complete a referral form below.

All referrals will be evaluated to see if the youth qualifies as a female survivor of sex trafficking aged eleven to seventeen (11-17) who voluntarily elects to reside at Esther’s Home and take part in related programming. To care for all participants, Esther’s Home will strive to match incoming residents to the current house dynamics. We reserve the right not to admit a youth who would otherwise be a good fit for the program if we are not able to meet their individual needs or if the combination of residents' needs is not a good fit.

Youth who are in foster care may be placed at Esther’s Home if they meet the criteria and voluntarily choose to participate. Mirror Ministries and Esther’s Home are not contracted through the state and will not accept reimbursement or payment for foster youth. Esther’s Home must receive the youth’s placement letter, and a caseworker must sign all waivers allowing Esther’s Home to enroll the youth in school, seek medical and mental health care, transport the youth, and allow participation in activities.

Youth who are not dependents of the state may also be placed at Esther’s Home. These youth must also meet criteria, and a parent or guardian must sign and notarize a limited power of attorney and waivers allowing Esther’s Home to enroll the youth in school, seek medical and mental health care, transport the youth, and allow participation in activities. These youth are referred to as “private” placements.
